Yesterday, Jessica and I had the honor of bearing witness to the union of our dear friends, Will Rounsavell and Hillary Rielly. The wedding was beautiful and unique. Due to Seattle's unceasing September-to-June rains, they held it indoors at a really interesting venue - a fancy, classic car broker, Cosmopolitan Motors. The ceremony included their family and close friends. The crafty couple made their own terrarium centerpieces which were each a puzzle guests had to solve to learn to which table they were assigned. A pig was roasted for the special day and a friend of the groom brewed five kegs of beer for the event. The party favor was a custom "Willary Wedding" beer coozie, quite appropriate in light of the groom own substantial coozie collection.
I met Will five years ago in Seattle when I bravely moved into a shared house from a craigslist posting. I made some life long friends there. I am proud to know this guy and very happy to see him married to a truly wonderful woman.I had Thanksgiving with Jessica's families up in Seattle again this year. Here are the pics from her Mom's dinner. I had a great time with her Dad and their family & friends but no pics cause I forgot the camera. I did however, instigate a good game of Settlers of Catan that we unfortunately could not finish. Both meals were delicious and extremely filling (esp. the turkey that Nathan & Steven brined). Great start to the Nov-Jan holiday period!
Here's another flagrantly late photo bomb: my pics from Halloween this year.
We went out to house parties both nights in a row. Dayday was in town which is always fun. Neither him nor Ben had costumes so Jessica and I furnished some for them. I think they turned out well. Quite fun. Big ups to Jon and to Nick for their party hookups. I don't think I am in any of the pictures but I was dressed as Charlie Sheen.
Would you like to spend an extra $2k on health care per year and live 4 years LESS! Well now you can! Thanks to the always wonderfully inefficient And ineffective US Health Care system. You didn't need that pesky *life* anyway. The last four years are always the worst! Your grandkids graduations and weddings are so freaking boring you definitely are better off dead.
